Speaker equipment of a novel shape with excellent characteristics. The speaker equipment constituted of a speaker unit accommodated in a cabinet has a baffle surface (101a) of the cabinet formed as an outwardly protruding curved surface with a predetermined radius of curvature. A diaphragm (120) included in the speaker unit is shaped to protrude outwardly with a radius of curvature approximately equal to that of the baffle surface (101a), and the diaphragm (120) is placed to be exposed from the baffle surface (101a) to form a curved surface with an approximately successive radius of curvature. Both the baffle surface and the diaphragm of the speaker equipment are thus formed to be curved surfaces with the approximately same radius of curvature, whereby sound can be efficiently output by vibration of the diaphragm and frequency characteristics can be improved.
