AN ANTI-DIABETES COMPOSITION COMPRISING BETA GLUCAN AND BITTER MELON EXTRACT AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENTS

A composition comprising an extract of Momordica charantia and beta-glucan is provided to be effectively used for improving diabetic symptoms and preventing or treating diabetic complications even with a small dosage due to synergetic effect of the extract of Momordica charantia and beta-glucan without side effects. A composition for treating or preventing diabetes or diabetic complications comprises beta-glucan and an extract of Momordica charantia as effective ingredients, wherein a mixing weight ratio of the beta-glucan and the Momordica charantia extract is 1:2-1:4, the extract is prepared by using an extraction solvent such as water, alcohol and a mixture solvent thereof and the beta glucan is derived from crop such as barley and oat. Further, the diabetes are relative to metabolic syndrome.
