<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner superior in silentness, and capable of making it thin, for restraining an increase in noise, by adopting a flat front panel. <P>SOLUTION: In this air conditioner, a partition plate 2 is installed in a front face of a body casing 1, and the front panel 3 is installed on its front face. Indoor air suction ports 8a and 8b are formed on the periphery between the front panel 3 and the partition plate 2, and the whole between the front panel 3 and the partition plate 2 is formed as a suction side chamber 7. An indoor blowout port 18 is arranged on a side surface of the body casing 1 being the direction different from the indoor air suction port 8a and 8b. A centrifugal fan 5 is arranged in the body casing 1 so that a fan suction port 53 is opened on the front face. A guide member 9 for restraining generation of a dead air area of an air current, is also arranged in the vicinity of an intermediate position of two sides orthogonal to the side for arranging the indoor air suction ports 8a and 8b among the periphery between the front panel 3 and the partition plate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
