DATA RECORDING DEVICE, DATA RECORDING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect ID which is not used from data having the minimum recording region having ID depending on the order of recording.

SOLUTION: This data recording device is provided with a means for reading a bit flag value as state information corresponding to all available ID one to one showing whether ID is being used or not used from a recording medium; a data adding means for referring to the read state information, and for adding data having unused ID to the tail of the data recoding region of bit map information; a state updating means for updating the state information corresponding to the ID used by data addition to a state being used; a region erasing means for referring to the read state information, and for erasing the data region having ID which is being used; and a state updating means for updating the state information corresponding to the ID which is not used due to erasure to a state being not used.
