<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system capable of properly detecting an object by performing detection processing of a detection object corresponding to a traveling state of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging system 1 for imaging the circumference of a vehicle by a camera 2 and detecting the detection object by performing pattern matching in the imaged image performs pattern matching from a farther side in the image when a vehicle speed exceeds a prescribed value than when the vehicle speed is not higher than the prescribed value.
