PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method capable of exactly extracting an area corresponding to an area to be a reference of color correction on an acquired image when the color correction is performed to the acquired image using the area to be a reference of color correction. SOLUTION: In the image processor, a histogram generation part 122 detects histogram information in an RGB image based on pieces of data about the respective pixels constituting the RGB image and a luminance range calculation part 123 sets the pixels of the RGB image included in a predetermined range of the histogram information detected by the histogram generation part 122 as a color correction coefficient calculation area.
