PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely recognize an object within an image, even in the general image including a partial concealed part and a complicated background. SOLUTION: A model feature extracting part 55 extracts a model image feature amount in each of a plurality of feature amount extracting areas in one feature point, in the vicinity of the feature point that is a point located on an edge of a model and for extracting a model image feature amount that is a feature amount of the model image, and a matching means 66 conducts matching between an input image feature amount, that is a feature amount of an input image in the point on an edge of the input image corresponding to a feature point, and each of the plurality of model image feature amounts in the feature point. The object within the image is surely recognized thereby even in the general image including the partial concealed part and the complicated background.
