PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a watertight connector in which superior watertight performance can be maintained, even under environments where violent differences can occur between the inner and the outer temperatures by connection work that has no relation with those of the conventional water tight connectors. SOLUTION: This is the watertight connector 11 in which a communicating hole 16 is formed that communicates with the inside and the outside of the connector housing 14, and which is equipped with a watertight plug (38) that is fitted into the communicating hole 16 so that water can be prevented from communication into the inside of the connector housing 14; while a ventilation part (33, 32) allowing ventilation between one end side and the other-end side of the inserting direction is formed in the inserting direction of the watertight stopper (38) as a whole; and at least at a part of the inserting direction of the ventilation part (33, 32); a ventilating watertight part (32) is formed in which water communication can be prevented; while allowing ventilation between one end side and the other end side of the inserting direction in the watertight connector 11.
