PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk medium data erasing method and device which are high in thermal efficiency and can apply a required amount of heat to the required positions to directly break a write-once optical disk medium to discard it without no security problems thereby eliminating the possibility of reproducing and completely erase the data on the metal and coloring matter layers. SOLUTION: The recording layers are destroyed through a step of focusing the light beam from a light source using halogen, xenon, etc. on the recording layer in an optical disk medium, a step of heating the above recording layer with the above light beam spot, a step of radiating the optical disk medium while moving the above light beam spot from the inner area to the outer area, and a step of randomly deforming the optical disk medium.
