PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further quickly project a vane just after starting in a gas compressor. SOLUTION: A sweeping groove 35 is formed so that the depth in the direction along a rotary shaft 51 becomes deeper than a sweeping groove 35 part other than a part 35c on the part 35c of an angle range up to an angle position 35b around the rotary shaft 51 of a corresponding vane 58 when a projection quantity of the vane 58 becomes maximum from an angle position 35a around the rotary shaft 51 of the corresponding vane 58 when a time series variation in the volume of a compression space 48 becomes maximum, and reduces ventilation resistance in the sweeping groove 35 of refrigerant gas G flowing in the sweeping groove 35 (35c).
