PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition timing control device wherein an actual ignition timing does not greatly deviate from an adequate ignition timing even when an ignition timing control model is learned disproportionately in a specified operation region. SOLUTION: The ignition timing control device comprises an initial ignition timing control model which is adapted to calculate such an ignition timing that a combustion condition index value (an 8°combustion rate MFB8) approximately corresponds to a target combustion condition index value. The control device learns the initial ignition timing control model to be corrected to reduce a difference between the axial combustion condition index value and the target combustion condition index value. Then, it acquires a total learning frequency CN and a by-operation-region learning frequency Cx, y and determines a final ignition timing SA(k) from a learning frequency (Cx, y/CN) obtained by dividing the by-operation-region learning frequency corresponding to a current operation region by the total learning frequency, and an initial ignition timing SAin and an after-learning ignition timing SAgk found by the initial ignition timing control model and an after-learning ignition timing control model, respectively.
