PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound yarn enabling easy impregnation of a resin into a natural fiber yarn, having good moldability, high strength and uniform physical properties and free from environmental problems, an intermediate of the yarn, and a molded material of a fiber-reinforced resin obtained by using the yarn. SOLUTION: The compound yarn 13 for a fiber-reinforced resin (FRP) is produced by using one or more yarns including natural fibers as the core yarns 11a-11c and covering the circumference of the core yarns 11a-11c with a synthetic resin fiber yarn 12. The synthetic resin fiber yarn 13 is made of a thermoplastic resin material giving a matrix resin in the case of forming an FRP. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
