PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of conventional methods requiring considerable time and labor for covering a wire member such as a cable with a braided sleeve to necessitate the work of inserting the wire material into the braided sleeve in axial direction. SOLUTION: Connection grooves of a bobbin 3 are formed in four directions on the upper face of a geared carrier, and the bobbin 3 is delivered between adjacent grooves of the carrier at the timing of turning the carrier by 90°. Wire members 4 wound of the bobbins 3 are collected by braiding a sleeve on the circumference of a guide 5 placed above a rack 1 in a semi-spiral cross-sectional form. In other word, the bobbin 3 is delivered by each carrier traveling along a circulating orbit groove 2 in spiral form to braid a sleeve on the circumference of the guide 5 in semi-spiral form. Thereafter, the sleeve braided in a semi-spiral cross-sectional form is heated with a heater 6 to obtain the sleeve as a final product having a stabilized form. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
