PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step device for a vehicle and arrangement structure of the step device for the vehicle, which securely reduces a clearance between a door arm provided on a slide door and a step. SOLUTION: This step device 10 for the vehicle is arranged in an entrance opened or closed by the slide door 2 moving in the forward and backward directions of the vehicle by supporting the door arm 16 provided in an end on a front side of the vehicle below an interior side face on a vehicle body. This step device 10 is provided with: a main body 11 arranged in a lower section than an interior floor; and the step 14 having a plate-like plane part 42a moving and coming in and out of the main body 11 along the interior floor in the interlocking relationship with opening and closing operation of the slide door 2 by a movable mechanism 20 provided in the main body 11. The movable mechanism 20 is provided with a pair of rail members 13 for protruding the step 14 linearly in the oblique direction being a back side of the vehicle in the interlocking relationship with opening operation of the slide door 2.
