PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping device which can mold a molding of high precision by reducing the influence of suction force generated between a stator and a needle on the movement on a guide rail of a movable platen. SOLUTION: The mold clamping device 100 is equipped with the movable platen 112 which is set opposite to a fixed platen 111 and moved forward/backward, the needle 131 of a linear motor 128 which moves the movable platen 112 forward/backward, a first guide rail Gd1 which guides the forward/backward movement of the movable platen 112, and a second guide rail Gd2 which guides the forward/backward movement of the needle 131 of the linear motor 128 and is installed to be separated from the first guide rail Gd1.
