PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaping portion elevating controller of a reaping harvester, which enables to well perform a reaping work, when fallen culms are reaped, while avoiding that the reaping portion is thrust into the ground and thereby damaged. SOLUTION: In the reaping portion elevating controller of the reaping harvester, two non-contact type ground height detection means A for detecting the ground height of the reaping portion are disposed at different positions in the reaping width direction in the reaping portion, and an elevation operating means C1 is controlled so that the reaping portion is elevated, when a target ground height is higher than a set height for switching a control state, and when either of the two ground height detection means A detects a lower value than the target ground height in the detection means-reduced detection state, and the reaping portion is elevated, when the target ground height is not higher than the set height for switching the control state and when the two ground height detection means A detect lower values than the target ground height, respectively.
