The valve arrangement (10) has a flap (16) regulating a larger air flow, and another flap (18) for regulating a smaller air flow. The former flap includes an opening, where the latter flap is arranged in the opening and movable relative to the former flap. The former flap includes a hollow shaft (26) for actuating the former flap. The latter flap includes a shaft (28) for actuating the latter flap, where the shaft is movably guided within the hollow shaft. The shaft is radially projected downwards from the hollow shaft. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for opening an air suction channel for an internal-combustion engine of a motor vehicle (2) a method for closing an air suction channel for an internal-combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
