A plasma display apparatus is provided to enhance stability thereof by preventing electrical short due to surge voltages inputted from electrodes of a plasma display panel. A plasma display apparatus includes a drive IC(Integrated Circuit)(100) supplying first and second voltages to one of scan, sustain, and address electrodes. The drive IC includes a signal generator(110), first and second switching elements, and a unidirectional element. The signal generator generates a logic level signal. The first and second switching elements deliver first and second voltages to one of the scan, sustain, and address electrodes respectively based on the logic level signal. The unidirectional element connected between a control end of the second switching element and a second voltage source blocks a surge voltage supplied to the second switching element. |
