<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve size reduction and space saving of a lock mechanism which locks or unlocks an opening/closing cover of a storage unit storing a battery and a recording medium without hindering the size reduction in electronic equipment such as a digital camera. <P>SOLUTION: In the electronic equipment, the lock mechanism 8 has a lock claw 10 which is disposed movably between a lock position and an unlock position and engages a slit hole 7A provided on the opening/closing cover 7 when the opening/closing cover 7 is closed, or disengages, and a shape memory alloy 12 which comprises wire-shaped shape memory alloys 12A and 12B contracting through self-heating when electricity is fed and moves the opening/closing cover 10 to the unlock position or lock position by contracting during the electricity feeding. The wire-shaped shape memory allows 12A and 12B are used as an actuator for driving the lock claw 10, so the lock mechanism 8 can be made compact and the space can be saved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
