The device consists of the combination of a valve (1) with retractable closure by rotation with a pressure plate (3) and a retaining plate, between which plates are placed filtering strips of fabric or the like which are permeable to air but permit flow over the entire periphery, i.e. 360 DEG . It is intended to effect the soundproofing, filtering and regularisation of the rate of injection of air into protective suits for users who have to stand or move around in a polluted environment. <IMAGE>
