摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance machining accuracy of a thin hole and to suppress tendency of generating a heat affected layer. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is a laser beam machining method in which a laser beam 71 is emitted to a nozzle body 21 to machine a nozzle hole 25 as a thin hole. In an inert gas atmosphere, a rotated nozzle body 21 is irradiated with a laser beam 71 whose optical axis is fixed, with the nozzle hole 25 penetrated and with a plume sucked from the rear of the nozzle body 21. Even if the converged cross sectional shape of the laser beam 71 is non-circular, the same portion of the stationary converged cross sectional shape always strikes the edge of the nozzle hole to be drilled in the rotating nozzle body 21, thereby making the shape of the nozzle hole circular or nearly circular. In addition, sucking the plume prevents the laser beam 71 from being shielded by the plume or from being absorbed or diffused, making the laser beam 71 constantly applied to the rotating workpiece. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
