<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic reading system of evaluating a user's reading skills while the user is reading out loud. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic reading system includes: a speech recognition system connected to a speech detector 112, capable of providing estimation of speech content of the user 102 reading text of an electronic book to the speech detector; an evaluation means capable of operating conversion of estimation of the speech content into an item score by comparing the estimation with a correct response; and a recommendation means which is connected to a book data base having a plurality of level profiles corresponding to a plurality of versions based on the item score provided by the evaluation means, and provides a response to the user while the item score is associated with the level profiles of the book data base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
