PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the range of the depth of field and to obtain excellent photographing parameters by complementing an object size. SOLUTION: A digital camera comprises: a photographing section which photographs an object and outputs image data; an object complementing section which complements the object for the image data output by the photographing section and determines an object size; a depth-of-field determination section which determines the range for the depth of field on the basis of the size of the object for the image data determined by the object complementing section; various parameter setting section for setting ISO sensitivity, quantity of light, diaphragm and shutter speed; various parameter determination section for calculating correction values of the diaphragm and shutter speed on the basis of the ISO sensitivity, quantity of light, diaphragm and shutter speed set to the various parameter setting section and the range for the depth of field determined by the depth-of-field determination section; and a photographing control section for controlling the photographing section on the basis of the correction values of diaphragm and shutter speed calculated by the various parameter determination section.
