FILTER FOR DISPLAY APPARATUS AND DISPLAY APPARATUS WITH FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive filter for a display apparatus which has an optical function of enhancing contrast of video and can prevent emission of near infrared rays or neon light and which has high transmittance, and to provide a display apparatus with the filter. SOLUTION: The filter 10 for the display apparatus is installed in front of a plasma display panel 30. The filter 10 for the display apparatus is equipped with an electromagnetic wave shielding layer 12 and an optical functional layer 20 for enhancing contrast of the video. The optical functional layer 20 is constituted of a transparent resin part 21 and a blackened resin part 22 buried in the transparent resin part 21 and further the transparent resin part 21 contains a near infrared ray absorbing dyes or a neon absorbing dye.
