PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel perfume composition usable as a cosmetic component or a tyrosinase activity-inhibitor that is safe and can be compounded into a cosmetic in an arbitrary amount without detriment to qualities of the cosmetic. SOLUTION: The novel perfume composition usable as a cosmetic component or a tyrosinase activity-inhibitor comprises at least one compound selected from among compounds represented by general formula (1) (wherein either one of R1and R2is a 1-5C alkyl group and the other is a hydrogen atom).
