The invention relates to a system for detecting a micro-organism. The system comprises a cap for placement on a vial; the vial to be used for holding a broth for culturing a micro-organism; and a detector operatively associated with said cap. The detector is arranged for detecting, over time, a concentration of predetermined substance. A processing unit is coupled to said detector; for associating said detected substance concentration to a predetermined micro-organism. |
