A device for detecting an object held between doors of a vehicle is provided to detect the object trapped between a sliding door and a front door by causing an upper conductive unit to contact a lower conductive unit. A device for detecting an object held between doors of a vehicle comprises a body(100), an upper conductive unit(200), a lower conductive unit(300), and a controller(400). The body has a chamber(110) therein and is installed at the back of a sliding door(500). The upper conductive unit is installed on the chamber. The lower conductive unit is installed at the bottom of the chamber on the opposite side of the upper conductive unit. The controller detects an object held between the sliding door and a front door, when the upper conductive unit contacts the lower conductive unit.
