<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter polishing device having little used amount of polishing cloth and little dispersion of polishing amount in a short time and its manufacturing method, when polishing the surface of the color filter by the polishing cloth, more particularly, regarding the color filter polishing device for flattening the surface of the color filter and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This color filter polishing device flattens the surface of the color filter 6 by turning the surface of the color filter 6 to be polished upward, horizontally carrying the color filter 6 and rotating a polishing head 3 constituted of a rectangular polishing plate for inline polishing and the polishing cloth by bringing the polishing head 3 into contact with the surface of the color filter 6 in a polishing part.
