<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub apparatus capable of providing a bathing person with sufficient massage effects. <P>SOLUTION: The bathtub apparatus 11 includes a bathtub 2, an advancing part 3 attached to the back face 21a of the bathtub 2, and a driving means 4 for driving the advancing part 3. The surface of the advancing part 3 is displaceable between a normal state and an advanced state in which the advancing part is more advanced into the bathtub 2 than in the normal state. The bathtub apparatus 11 has support parts 5 on both side wall faces for supporting the body of the bathing person with both arms.
