<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a capacity for storing a processing program in a ROM area. <P>SOLUTION: This accessory device for a camera is provided with: a first rewritable nonvolatile storing means 32 for storing a communication program for communicating with an external device and a rewritable processing program (hereinafter, old processing program) for controlling the accessory device; a first acquiring means 31 for using the communication program and the old processing program to acquire a control program from the external device; a second nonvolatile storing means 33 for storing the control program acquired by the first acquiring means 31; a second acquiring means 31 for using a communication program included in the control program stored in the second storing means 33 to acquire a version upgraded processing program (hereinafter, new processing program) from the external device; and an updating means 31 for executing the control program stored in the second storing means 33 to update the old processing program stored in the first storing means 32 with the new processing program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
