<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device capable of reliably preventing failure in automatic return. <P>SOLUTION: The steering lock device comprises a cylinder 23 stored in a steering lock body 10, a cam member 33 integrally turned with the cylinder 23, a lock bolt 47 which is advanced when a cam member 33 is at the LOCK position to lock a steering shaft and retracted to the unlock position when the cam member 33 is at the ACC position, the ON position and the START position, and a switch member (an ignition switch 55) to be interlockingly turned with the cam member 33; and further comprises a first cam surface 41 which extends from the LOCK position to the ACC position of the cam member 33 to operate the lock bolt 47 in the retracting direction, a second cam surface 42 which extends from the ACC position to the ON position of the cam member 33, and a third cam surface 43 which extends from the ON position to the START position of the cam member 33.
