<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance image generation device capable of generating a distance image with higher accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises an image pickup element comprising a generation source which emits modulated light onto an object space, a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements which receives reflection light emitted from the generation source and reflected by an object in the object space and converts the light into electric charges, a plurality of charge accumulation parts provided to each of the photoelectric conversion elements, and a means which synchronizes with the modulation of the generation source and distributes the electric charge converted by the photoelectric conversion elements into the plurality of charge accumulation parts, a distance image generation part which performs predetermined operations based on the electric charge accumulated in the plurality of charge accumulation parts and generates the distance image whose pixel value is the distance value, and a light quantity adjustment means to adjust the light quantity of the generation source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
