PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain rerouting optimum and concretely reasonable for a preference of an individual driver and a situation thereof, by taking a travel history in the past and a classification of a road into consideration and by making the best use thereof, in the rerouting when running out of a route. SOLUTION: This navigation system determines a run-out point of own vehicle running out of the route, by a route run-out point determining means 54, when a current position is determined to be out of the route by a travel place determining means 53, and calculates again the route, based on the travel history stored in a travel history storage means 52, by a rerouting calculation means 56. The navigation system carries out rerouting calculation again to travel on a road other than that of a prescribed classification, by an again-rerouting calculation means 57, when the run-out point is a road classification switched prescribed point, and when the route by the route again-calculation passes again the run-out point.
