PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a building caused by interlayer displacement exceeding a limit, with the excellent aseismic action. SOLUTION: This aseismic device is composed of a frame body 1 composed of an upper horizontal frame 1a, a lower horizontal frame 1b of a lower part and both side vertical side frames 1c and 1c, a pair of upper operation pieces 2a and 2a having the upper end joined to both end vicinity of the upper horizontal frame 1a and having the lower end joined by a pin to the central upper part side of a connecting plate 3, damping plate parts 3a and 3a of both side parts of the connecting plate 3 extended to both vertical side frame 1c, 1c sides of the frame body 1, two sets of sandwiching plates 4a and 4b positioned in an intermediate part of both vertical side frames 1c and 1c of the frame body 1 and sandwiching the damping plate parts 3a and 3a via sheet-like elastic bodies 5, 5, etc., upper-lower regulating walls 6 and 6 limiting a lifting range of the damping plate parts 3a and 3a, and compression coil springs 11, 11, etc. returning both damping plate parts 3a and 3a to an original position.
