PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrospace detection device for identifying an echo due to bubble underwater and preventing it from causing false recognition on a display screen. SOLUTION: The hydrospace detection device for detecting phase difference of echo using a split beam method with two received beams detects, with a phase detection section 7, differenceΔθbetween the phase difference of the echo detected by the first and second received beams formed towards a certain azimuth and the phase difference of the echo detected by the first and second received beams formed from this azimuth to the azimuth obtained by rotating the former azimuth by a predetermined angle. A reliability determination section 8 determines whether the differenceΔθdetected by the phase detection section 7 is a value within a predetermined range. When it is determined that the differenceΔθis a value within the predetermined range, the echo is displayed on a display section 6. When it is determined that the differenceΔθis not a value within the predetermined range, the echo is displayed in a specific color tone or is prevented from being displayed.
