PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dyeing a textile material with a reactive dye capable of easily reducing or increasing the color density of a part of the textile material. SOLUTION: The method for dyeing a fiber comprises the progress of the chemical reaction of a reactive dye with a textile material in a state that an acidic aqueous solution is applied to a part of the surface of the textile material immersed in an alkaline solution containing the reactive dye. As an alternative, the method for dyeing a fiber comprises the progress of the chemical reaction of a reactive dye with a textile material in a state that a material is brought into contact with a part of the surface of the textile material immersed in a solution containing the reactive dye.
