PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin film having high grade heat resistance, transparency, optical isotropy, tenacity and defectless property. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin film is obtained by a melt film forming method, whose breaking elongation is within a range of 30-70% in the arbitrary direction, phase difference to 400-700 nm wavelength light and between film thickness direction and plane direction is 5 nm or less in terms of absolute value, haze value is 1.0% or less, thickness nonuniformity is±1.5μm/1 m or less, thickness is 5-250μm, and width difference between the maximum value and the minimum value is less than 0.1μm for any 5 mm width in the film width direction.
