摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adverse effect of a shading phenomenon in accordance with a threshold correction operation in an organic EL display device having a threshold correction function. <P>SOLUTION: A period of the threshold correction operation is controlled so that a period for making a sampling transistor into a conducted state becomes dominant. When control is performed so that the period for making the sampling transistor into the conducted state, since termination of threshold correction comes to be prescribed by OFF of the sampling transistor, coupling of a scanning drive pulse for turning on/off of light emission control transistor is not generated and the adverse effect of the shading phenomenon in accordance with the threshold correction is not generated. Since the light emission control transistor is operated in a linear area even in a threshold correction period while avoiding generation of the adverse effect of the shading phenomenon in accordance with the threshold correction, there is no risk of increase of power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
