PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator which can reduce a reactive field ratio while using magnets which have arc-shaped cross sections and are parallel-magnetized, is high in the use rate of the magnets, and can suppress manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The actuator comprises: a cylindrical coil 4 to which a driven body 3 is integrally adhered inside; a cylindrical magnet holder 2 arranged outside the coil 4 so as to be concentric with the coil 4; and the magnets 1 which have arc-shaped cross sections whose arcs contact with the internal peripheral face of the magnet holder 2, are arranged in a plurality of pieces so as to form a cylinder, and held by the magnet holder 2. The actuator which can move the driven body 3 to the central axial direction by the principle of a linear motor by making a current flow to the coil 4 is constituted so that the magnets 1 are kept to be parallel-magnetized, and center angles of the arcs of the magnets 1 may be≤45°.
