<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line head which can obtain a clear image by surely preventing generation of cross talk, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The line head 13 is equipped with a lens array 6, a light emitting element array 7, and a light shielding member 8. The lens array 6 includes a lens supporting part 65, and a plurality of lenses 64 supported by the lens supporting part 65 and arranged in a plurality of columns in a main scan direction and in a plurality of rows in a sub scan direction, each having an ejection plane of a light L made a convex curved surface 62. The light emitting element array 7 has light emitting elements 74 formed by at least one to one lens 64, and the light shielding member 8 disposed between the lens array 6 and the light emitting element array 7 has through holes 84 respectively formed at positions corresponding to the lenses 64.
