PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of securely preventing leakage of developer from the ends of the device even in the long period of use of the device. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a fixing roller having a heating means and rotated; an endless fixing belt rotated by its being driven by the fixing roller; a pair of guide members supporting the widthwise both ends of the rotating fixing belt from the internal peripheral face side, thereby guiding the fixing belt; a pressure member for pressing the fixing belt to the fixing roller from the internal peripheral face side, thereby bringing the fixing belt into firm contact with the fixing roller, and for forming a nip between the fixing roller and the fixing belt in order to fix a toner image on a recording material; and a lubricant supply member for supplying a lubricant to the internal peripheral face of the fixing belt. In the fixing device, the guide parts of the guide members for guiding the fixing belt have the form of a cylinder. Each of the guide part has an opening having an end face inclining in the direction of the widthwise middle of the fixing belt, from the upstream side to the downstream side in the rotating direction of the fixing belt.
