PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which has the enhanced effect that water is prevented from entering a display element by sealing the circumference of the display element disposed on a substrate with a pair of water-proof films. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment 10 includes the substrate 12 provided with a penetration portion 14 in a circumference of a display region 12c, an electrophoresis element 20 disposed on the side of a top surface 12a of the substrate 12 and on the display region 12c, a first moisture-proof film 28 covering a display region 12c and electrophoresis element 20, and a second moisture-proof film covering a display region 12c on the side of the reverse surface 12b of the substrate 12. Then the first moisture-proof film 28 contacts a sealing part on the side of the top surface 12a, the second moisture-proof film 30 contacts a sealing part on the side of the reverse surface 12b, and the first moisture-proof film 28 and second moisture-proof film 30 contact each other at the penetration part 14 so that the electrophoresis element is hermetically sealed with the first moisture-proof film 28 and second moisture-proof film 30.
