PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display cell and its manufacturing method which can suppress the deterioration in display quality due to intrusion of foreign matters mixed in a liquid crystal into a display area. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display cell 10 is provided with a pair of substrates 12, 14 arranged oppositely to each other through a liquid crystal layer 18, a seal member 16 formed between the pair of substrates 12, 14 so as to surround the liquid crystal layer 18 while remaining an injection port 20, and a sealing member 22 for sealing the injection port 20, wherein projections 44, 46 are formed for blocking a part of the injection part 20 in the height direction are formed on at least either one of a portion between a pair of seal drawing parts 16b, 16b and a gap 45 between a display area 50 for displaying an image formed on the inside of the seal member 16 and the inside end part of the injection port 20.
