PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein, in an analysis information management system such as LIMS, since the number of digits of a management number given uniquely to each analysis is large, a user performing the analysis hardly remembers it, to thereby often cause an input error. SOLUTION: A simplified management number having a smaller number of digits (for example, a three-digit number) than the number of digits of a correct management number is assigned to a unique correct management number (normally in 8-10 digits) given to each analysis in the analysis information management system. The simplified management number is not unique but is assigned circularly to each correct management number, and is converted again to the correct management number when the analysis is finished and inputted analysis data are registered. Hereby, a duplicate simplified management number is not assigned to the analysis in progress by setting properly the number of digits (the number of usable simplified management numbers). Consequently, the number of digits of the management number treated by the user can be reduced, and thereby the user can easily remember it, and an input error can be prevented.
