PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new bird or animal repelling apparatus that ensures operation of a glow plug for igniting firecrackers or fireworks, further, improves operation stability, reliability and the like of the apparatus, achieves size reduction of apparatus, hardly requires labor in maintenance management and exhibits a tremendous threat effect by combination with a speaker etc. SOLUTION: The bird or animal repelling apparatus 1 brings firecrackers or fireworks 10 hung in an approximately suspended state, close to the glow plug 30 retained in a proper attitude, ignites the fuse wire 10a of the firecrackers or fireworks 10, in a state in which the fuse wire of the firecrackers or fireworks 10 is in contact with the glow plug 30 and threats birds or animals by explosion of the firecrackers or fireworks 10.
