APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING COLOR FILTER

A method and an apparatus for manufacturing color filters are provided to improve the diffusivity of color filter materials by pre-heating a substrate before jetting the color filter materials onto the substrate through a heat line disposed within a stage, thereby making the color filters have uniform thickness. A substrate is loaded on a stage(S101). The substrate is pre-heated by heat generated from a heat line through operation of AC voltage while the stage is in a stationary state(S102). Herein, the heat line is disposed within the stage to transmit the heat to the substrate. The stage is driven so that the stage and the substrate are linearly moved(S103). An inkjet head is driven to jet red, green, and blue liquid type color filter materials onto the substrate correspondingly to respective sub pixels(S104). The liquid type color filter materials are hardened through thermal treatment in a baking process. The heat line is disposed within the stage to transmit the heat to the substrate.
