An external-combustion engine is provided to install a sealing ring to prevent a heat medium leaking from a housing from leaking secondarily, so that sealing efficiency is enhanced. An external-combustion engine includes a housing(900), a compressor, a cylinder block(100), a heat medium pipe(400), a piston shaft(110), a crank shaft(710), and a crank case(700). The compressor takes in a heat medium to discharge the heat medium to the housing. The cylinder block drives a piston using the heat medium from the compressor. The heat medium pipe guides the heat medium to be introduced into the cylinder block. The piston shaft connects a compressor piston with a cylinder piston. The piston shaft protrudes from the housing. The crank shaft is connected to the piston shaft. The crank case includes a sealing ring(770) protecting a connection part(730) of the piston shaft and the crank shaft. |
