PURPOSE:To simplify the control and regulation of AC voltage and to enhance the reliability by feeding back the secondary output of a transformer to the divided winding through the variable voltage rectifier. CONSTITUTION:Each winding 3a-3c on the secondary side 3 of a transformer 1 is divided into two, i.e. the divided winding 31a-31c commonly connected at the neutral point O and the divided winding 32a-32c divided halfway. The terminals U, V and W of winding elements 32a-32c on the one side are connected to the three phase loads 8a-8c star-connected respectively, and on the other side the terminals a3-c3 are connected to the DC output side of the second rectifier 7. Each terminal a2-c2 of winding elements 31a-31c is connected to the AC input side of the first rectifier 7. Thus, the winding for the first rectifier 5 takes the form of being separately provided; the voltage to the first rectifier 5 is so constant that the regulation can be performed to suit its voltage value.
