The present invention concerns the preparation of multimetallic anionic c lays (AMs), and a method for obtaining a series of mixed multimetallic oxide s derived from thermal decomposition of the anionic clays prepared in accord ance with the invention. The invention describes the physico-chemical featur es of the AMs. Since there are a wide range of possible large-scale commerci al uses, new processes that provide simple and economically viable alternati vesare required, wherein production of the material would take place continu ously, and environmental requirements would be met. These materials can be u sed as basic heterogenous catalysts in pure chemistry reactions, in the fiel d of medicine, for control of SOx and NOx emissions among other uses.
