PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT CONNECTING MEMBER AND DRIVING MEMBER THEREWITH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving member for a fuel injection nozzle in which a piezoelectric element causes no electrostatic discharge damage.

SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element connecting member 1, which includes a plate 1a made up of a ceramic material with a volume resistivity between 103Ωm and 105Ωm and a conducting path 1b formed from one main surface of the plate 1a to the other main surface of the plate 1a, is arranged between the piezoelectric element 3 and a supporting member 2 for the piezoelectric element to electrically connect the piezoelectric element 3 with the current-carrying pin 2b of the supporting member 2 for the piezoelectric element through the conducting path 1b. The plate 1a made up of a ceramic material with a volume resistivity between 103Ωm and 105Ωm prevents a high voltage due to static electricity from being applied to the conducting path 1b.
